The Uganda Poetry Society unveils the inaugural Dr. Ivan Edwards Poetry Award 2026, honoring Ugandan-born physician, USAF Lt. Col., minister, FRSA, and Literary Titan Gold Award–winning poet
Dr. Ivan Edwards (author of Resonance of the Soul). Ugandan poets are invited to submit 2-minute spoken-word videos or 500-word poems themed “Unity” by January 20, 2026. With a US$1,000 prize, this annual award elevates Uganda’s literary talent, fostering national and global poetic voices in line with the Society’s collaborative vision.
